Are Celebrity Drink Packages Worth It in 2026?
Celebrity publishes no package prices - Classic and Premium live in the logged-in Cruise Planner, and 20% is added at checkout. Here is the Classic vs Premium math from official rules and observed 2026 prices.

Only for genuinely steady drinkers. Break-even is about 7 drinks per adult per day on Classic and 9 on Premium once the 20% checkout gratuity is priced in.

Classic $89.99 (observed $89-$109 per person per day) and Premium $104.99 (observed $105-$120) are 2026 Cruise Planner midpoints - Celebrity publishes no dollar prices. The per-serving caps ($12 / $19), the over-cap rules, the $20/day upgrade, and the 20% checkout gratuity ARE official.
The break-even facts
- Classic breaks even around 7 drinks per adult per day: $89.99 plus 20% is an effective $107.99 a day, against a $13 average drink plus 20% ($15.60 effective). 107.99 divided by 15.60 is 6.9 - the first whole number where it wins is 7.
- Premium breaks even around 9: $104.99 plus 20% is $125.99 a day; 125.99 divided by 15.60 is 8.1, so 9 drinks.
- The cap rules differ in a way that matters: over Classic's $12 cap you pay the FULL price of the drink; over Premium's $19 cap you pay only the difference. Cocktail lists run $12-18, so Classic's cap bites often.
- The official Classic-to-Premium upgrade is $20 per person per day - one of the few Celebrity package prices that is actually published.
- All-cabin rule: every guest of legal drinking age must buy a package if one does. Guests 13-20 on US sailings are forced onto Zero Proof (observed $40-$45 a day, plus 20%); children 12 and under are exempt.

- On Classic: the full price of any drink over $12 (not just the difference)
All Included is a booking-time FARE, not an add-on: for non-suites it bundles the Classic package, Basic Wi-Fi, and the beverage-package gratuities. It cannot be added after booking, the whole cabin takes the same rate, and The Retreat gets the Premium versions automatically. All Included guests can upgrade Basic to Premium Wi-Fi at an official $9.99/person/day.
The gratuity details most comparisons get wrong
- The 20% is added at checkout on package prices, pre-cruise AND onboard - and the same 20% rides a la carte drinks and specialty covers. It is never optional, and it applies to your typed quote too.
- Daily gratuities are separate and no longer bundled anywhere: $18/$19/$23 by stateroom category, with no published age exemption - every guest is charged.
- Official-vs-official trap: Celebrity's All Included FAQ still says the caps are "under $10" and "under $17" - that is stale. The beverage FAQ's $12/$19 caps are current and control.
